Targeted To Be Valid Tomorrow At The Plenary Session, The DPR-Government Pursues Discussion On The IKN Law To Be Completed Tonight
JAKARTA - The Special Committee on the Draft Law on the National Capital City (RUU IKN) is targeting the ratification of the bill into law in a plenary meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, January 18.
Therefore, the DPR RI together with the government are pursuing a discussion so that a level one decision can be concluded tonight, Monday, January 17. This means that the Special Committee has completed the discussion at the working committee meeting with the government and DPD throughout the day.
"Anyway, we will try to finish everything in the law today at the committee. We plan to have a special committee meeting with the government later tonight," said Chair of the Special Committee for the IKN Bill Ahmad Doli Kurnia at the DPR Building, Monday, January 17.
In contrast to Doli, Deputy Chair of the Special Committee for the IKN Bill Saan Mustopa said that the first-level decision-making was not forced to be completed today. Because the Special Committee, he said, will first look at the dynamics that are currently being discussed. "So if for example the discussion is relatively smooth, there are no problems, it will be finished this afternoon, we can immediately have a working meeting with the government," said Saan.
