Attack On Ciracas Police Station, TNI Commander: 3 People Admittedly Damaged Motorcycles

JAKARTA - The attack on the Ciracas Police, East Jakarta has begun to find a bright spot. Of the 12 witnesses questioned, 3 of them have admitted to being the perpetrators of the damage.

TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto said this confession was obtained after examining 12 people.

"The Garrison Commander summoned 12 witnesses who have already been investigated. This morning, we have acknowledged the 3 people because Denpom has been investigating them all day," Hadi told reporters, Sunday, August 30.

During the interrogation, the three men admitted to being the perpetrators of the damage. They damaged motorbikes and vehicles parked at the Ciracas Police Station, East Jakarta.

"The three men were the perpetrators of destroying motorbikes and vehicles," said Hadi.

Until now, efforts to reveal the damage are still being made. One of them is by exploring the CCTV footage that recorded the action.

"From the data in the field related to a single accident (accident) that befell MI soldiers and including the second CCTV related to the damage, Denpom has taken it," said Hadi.

The action of vandalizing the Ciracas Police, East Jakarta, was said to have been triggered by Prada MI's confession. He admitted to his colleagues that he had been beaten by a number of people. The news was spread through the Whatsapp short message application group.

As for the destruction of the Ciracas Police, East Jakarta, occurred on Saturday, August 29, in the early hours of the morning. The damage was said to have been carried out by hundreds of unknown people.

The action caused the Police building and several facilities to be damaged. Three members were injured.
