PSI: Pak Anies Turns Out To Be A Nidjiholic, We'll Send A Signature Later
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan watched the performance of Nidji's band -- with a new vocalist after the death of Giring Ganesha -- who tested the sound system at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).
A number of parties view that the appearance of Nidji without Giring Ganesha, the former vocalist who is currently the General Chair of PSI, is a form of satire by Anies. However, through spokesman Ariyo Bimmo, PSI did not feel the slightest bit offended.
Ariyo saw that Nidji's presence to perform his song at JIS was Anies' effort to please his fans.
It could be, said Ariyo, that the invitation to Nidji to check the sound at the international standard stadium also shows that Anies is one of the fans. In fact, if necessary, PSI will send the signatures of the founders of Nidji, one of which is Giring.
"We just realized that the governor is a Nidjiholic. We will send the founder's signature later," said Ariyo in a short message to VOI, Monday, January 17.
As we all know, before he entered politics, Giring was known as the leader of Nidji. Sitting as a vocalist, the presence of Giring is one of the attractions of Nidji's band.
Furthermore, Ariyo also prayed that the plan for the inauguration of the magnificent stadium in North Jakarta would run smoothly. As is known, the soft launching of JIS will be carried out in early February 2022.
"We just pray that the inauguration ceremony will run smoothly. Keep prioritizing prokes because Jakarta is currently experiencing a new case of COVID-19," said Ariyo.
It is known that during the sound system trial at JIS last night, Nidji appeared to be performing the song "Hapus Aku" sung by vocalist Muhammad Yusuf Nur Ubay. Ubay is the replacement vocalist for Giring Ganesha, who is currently entering politics.
Anies admitted that he was amazed to see Nidji's appearance at the international-class stadium whose construction is almost complete. The impression he got was the melodious chanting of the music that was brought by Nidji.
"Spectacular! Seeing the performance of Nidji's band during the JIS sound system test last night, while inspecting the 93% completion of the stadium construction. The music is blaring, the sound is melodious, there are no discordances," said Anies on his Instagram account, Monday, January 17.
This post immediately shocked the netizens. Some of them thought that Nidji's appearance at JIS was Anies' way to respond to the criticisms that Giring often made to him. As is known, since entering politics, Giring has often criticized Anies' programs. One of them is the Formula E circuit in the Ancol area, North Jakarta.
