TNI-Polri Investigators Examine 10 Witnesses Of Attack On The Ciracas Police
JAKARTA - Combined TNI-Polri investigators have examined 10 witnesses regarding the attack on the Ciracas Police, East Jakarta. It is suspected that the destruction of vehicles and the Ciracas Police was triggered by false news about the assault on members of the TNI.
"So we can convey that until tonight at 20.00 WIB we have examined 10 witnesses, people who know or have seen the incident," said Commander of the Military Police Center (Danpuspom) Maj. Gen. Eddy Rate Muis, quoted by Antara, Saturday, August 29.
Major General Eddy explained that the investigation was still ongoing. The joint team, he said, was working. First, all existing evidence was being examined. The witnesses concerned were being examined.
"We will give this joint team the opportunity to examine who is involved in the group, and then how to use what tools. Second, from the existing witnesses, let the joint team work first to examine witnesses so that this case becomes clear," he continued. .
Previously, the Head of the Metro Jaya Regional Police Inspector General of Police Nana Sudjana revealed that the destruction of the Ciracas Police Headquarters and a number of public facilities in East Jakarta occurred when a group of perpetrators tried to find the perpetrator of the TNI member, Prada MI.
"They are trying to find the perpetrators who ganged up on Prada MI," he said at a press conference at the Puspen Journalists Center for TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap.
Since the beginning of the incident, according to Nana, the team from Polda Metro Jaya and the East Jakarta Police immediately coordinated with the Pangdam Jaya and visited the crime scene (TKP) to check the damage.
"If the Ciracas Police have been said to have been burned, only vehicles and glass were only burned," he said.
The police also took the initiative to form an integrated team in order to investigate cases that occurred, ranging from the destruction of the Ciracas Police Headquarters, Alfamart minimarkets to the persecution of civilians in several locations.
The investigation effort by the integrated team was carried out by checking CCTV, and the results were submitted to the Jayakarta Military Police for investigation purposes.
