The attack and vandalism at the Ciracas Police Headquarters, East Jakarta was carried out by around 100 unknown people in the early hours of Saturday.

The perpetrator came on a motorbike and then took action to destroy the police station. Two police officers who were on patrol were reportedly injured in the attack.

Apart from injuring two police officers, the perpetrator also burned a Ciracas deputy police office car and an operational bus parked in the Ciracas Police Headquarters, Jalan Raya Bogor, East Jakarta.

The riots at the end of 2018 were thought to have been triggered by the beating of TNI members by parking attendants in Ciracas, the day before. As a result of the rioting, the Ciracas Police and a number of cars around the police station were damaged.

Although there were no fatalities in the burning of the police station, the losses due to the incident were estimated at Rp1 billion.
