Alert! Case Occupancy Rate At DKI Jakarta Hospital Increases By 19 Percent
JAKARTTA - The DKI Jakarta government noted that the bed occupancy rate (BOR) in all COVID-19 referral hospitals in Jakarta increased by 19 percent.
"If we look at the current data, there is an increase in BOR, from 3,579 used 677 or 19 percent, there is an increase from day to day," said Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Ahmad Riza Patria, quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 16.
Meanwhile, Riza said that the ICU had been filled with 32 beds out of a total of 591 prepared, an increase of one percent from the previous day
The low increase in BOR, said Riza, cannot be separated from the positive impact of the COVID-19 vaccination in DKI, which has reached 119.5 percent.
Nevertheless, the Gerindra Party politician asked the residents of DKI Jakarta to remain vigilant and implement strict health protocols, especially due to the increase in the findings of the Omicron variant of COVID-19 cases in DKI.
Riza said that currently the total distribution of Omicron cases in DKI reached 720 people, which was dominated by imported cases of 567 or 75.2 percent.
The number of cases of local transmission reached 123 or 24.8 percent. Riza said the importation case came from foreign tourists to Indonesian citizens to the country.
"There is an increase in local transmission, we ask to be careful because this is indeed a mild symptom, the symptom is not significant but it should not be taken lightly," said Riza.
