Depok Mayor Instructs Residents To Be Alert Because COVID-19 Is Rising Again
DEPOK - Mayor of Depok, West Java Mohammad Idris instructed the sub-district and village heads to remind their citizens to be vigilant regarding the spread of COVID-19, because positive cases of COVID-19 have increased again in the last few days.
"For sub-district heads and village heads, please help remind residents to be more aware of the dangers of spreading COVID-19. Tighten health protocols (prokes)," he said in Depok, quoted by Antara, Sunday, January 16.
In addition, the mayor also asked the ustadz and the taklim assembly to obey the prokes. This needs to be done in the interest of the whole community.
"We will again tighten and enforce the law for anyone who does not comply. This is in the common interest," said Mohammad Idris asserted.
The Depok City Government (Pemkot) has again updated data on the development of COVID-19 cases in Depok City.
Based on data released on Saturday, January 15, there was a significant increase in positive confirmed cases.
On Saturday, January 15, there were 40 additional positive confirmed cases of COVID-19. Thus, the total is 106,062 cases.
Meanwhile, patients recovered without any additions. Thus, the total remains the same as the previous day, namely 103,719 people or 97.79 percent.
Meanwhile, active confirmed cases rose by 40 people from the previous day. Then, active suspects dropped to 11 cases, active close contacts rose to 8 cases, and active probable patients, 0 cases or none.
There are no additional cases of patients dying in these data. Thus the total remains 2,172 people.
In an effort to suppress all cases of COVID-19, the Depok City Government reminded the public to maintain the 6M health protocol (protkes). Namely wearing masks, washing hands with soap and running water, maintaining a safe distance when doing activities outside the home, avoiding crowds, reducing mobility, and avoiding eating together.
In addition, the Depok City Government also asked the public to maintain a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS). By maintaining a healthy diet, exercise and adequate rest.
