Motorcyclist Allegedly Hit And Run Victim, One Person Died In TB Simatupang
JAKARTA - A traffic accident occurred in front of the Berkah Alam Store, Jalan Raya TB Simatupang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. As a result of the accident, one person died.
"The victim (died) is a motorcycle pillion, a man with the initials MN (17). He is a resident of Kebagusan, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta," said Head of Laka Traffic Unit of South Jakarta Police, AKP Sigit when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, January 16.
The accident began when the victim was carried by his colleague with the initials RDK (16) using a Honda Blade motorcycle. The two of them drove on Jalan Raya TB Simatupang, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, Sunday, January 16 at around 02.30 WIB.
Right in front of the Nature Blessing Shop, the motorbike was hit by another vehicle. This incident caused the motorcycle to fall.
"The motorcycle fell to the left resulting in injuries and damage to the vehicle," he said.
The vehicle that hit the scene immediately left the scene, so it was suspected that it was a hit and run.
According to Kanit, the two victims, MN and RDK, were then taken to the hospital for their injuries from the accident. MN is unconscious with injuries to the head and right leg. Meanwhile, RDK was injured on the face, hand and left leg.
However, MN's life was not saved. MN died when he was at Fatmawati Hospital.
