JAKARTA - The construction project for the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS), Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta has reached 93.85 percent in the 123rd week of the current construction implementation.
This FIFA-standard stadium is the largest in Indonesia, even Southeast Asia. Stadium with a capacity of 82 thousand spectators
JIS Project Manager of PT Jakarta Propertindo Arry Wibowo explained that the work that was still being completed was currently on the main stadium and interior tidying of all buildings in the stadium area.
"So, it's almost finished. We are currently still on going to complete some work, especially in the main stadium. Then some other remaining work is tidying up the interior area from floors 1 to 9, there are several parts that we need to tidy up," said Arry when met at JIS, Friday, January 14th.
Arry explained that currently the work on the ETFE membrane roof or transparent roof is being completed, after previously installing a metal sheet roof.
Considering that this FIFA-standard stadium has an open and closed roof feature, it is currently also being worked on for the installation process for the open-closed roof frame.
"Hopefully, when all this work is finished, installed properly, all systems can be tested and can be used in mid-March. The target is that the roof of the stadium can be opened and closed," he said.
In addition, the faade frame is still being completed. In the center of the main stadium pitch, work is being done to complete the playing area.
In the tribune area, 30 thousand regular stands have been installed from the target of 82 thousand spectator seats. The target is that by February all the seats have been booked.
Meanwhile, the work that has been completed is the lighting facilities, a professional sound system that supports the stadium. The work on the 15x30 meter scoring board has been tested.
Meanwhile, match support rooms such as home and away player locker rooms, VIP and VVIP facilities, including the press conference room have been completed 100 percent.
"So, in February there will be a soft launching of JIS around the 5th to 12th to hold the International Youth Championship," he explained.
