Arrested By The Police, The Kicker Of The Offerings On Mount Semeru Apologizes To The Indonesian People
SURABAYA - The man with the initials HF, the perpetrator who kicked the offerings on Mount Semeru, Lumajang, East Java, was arrested by the Ditreskrimum team of the East Java Police. He also apologized to the public.
"Brother HF was successfully secured in the Bantul area last night at around 22.30 WIB and immediately taken to the East Java Regional Police for an examination," said Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko, in Surabaya, Friday, January 14.
Gatot explained that the search for the perpetrators of the offerings on Mount Semeru was also coordinated with the NTB Regional Police and the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
"The perpetrators are subject to articles 156 and 158 of the Criminal Code. Meanwhile, in Bantul, the house in question and the perpetrators were secured on the street," he said.
Meanwhile, Dirreskrimum Polda Jatim Kombes Kombes Totok Suharyanto, said the cellphone used belonged to the suspect. The kicker of this offering asked his friend to record it.
"After recording, the suspect shared the video to the WhatsApp (WA) group. Meanwhile, the evidence that was secured was offerings and video recordings and the suspect's cellphone," he said.
As for the suspect's motive, namely spontaneity because of the understanding and belief in question. After being brought to the East Java Police, the suspect who kicked the offerings on Mount Semeru apologized publicly.
"To the Indonesian people, whom I love, I hope that what we did in the video offend our brothers and sisters, we sincerely apologize," said the kicker of the offerings in Semeru.
