JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) held a third dose of COVID-19 or booster vaccination for its employees. This injection is done to provide protection in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"KPK employees are an entity that is vulnerable to the risk of spreading COVID-19. Apart from having high job mobility, they also interact with various parties on a fairly frequent basis," said KPK Secretary General Cahya H. Harefa in a written statement quoted on Friday, January 14.

Cahya said the vaccine was administered from Thursday, January 13 to Friday, January 14. This activity collaborates with the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) and there are 46 vaccinators who will be on duty.

"This vaccination is intended to protect employees from the risk of exposure to COVID-19 as well as to make the government's program a success in accelerating the response to this global pandemic," he said.

With this vaccination, the KPK hopes that its employees can be protected. Moreover, since April 2020, employees who have tested positive for COVID-19 have reached 556 people with details 561 recovered and four people died.

Not only that, the anti-corruption commission also noted that there were 24 people who had tested negative but were re-exposed to COVID-19.

"KPK hopes to protect the health and safety of all KPK personnel so that they can continue to work and provide the best work in eradicating corruption," said Cahya.
