The Bodies Of Ship Workers Who Drowned In The Batanghari River, Jambi Were Found

JAKARTA - The joint team of Basarnas and the Jambi Regional Police Polairud assisted by the community found the bodies of the drowned victims while repairing the engine of a barge owned by PT Angkasa Raya on the Batanghari River.

Head of the Jambi Basarnas Operations Sub-Section Kornelis quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 13, explained that the joint team had succeeded in evacuating the drowning victim.

The victim at that time was about to repair the engine of the Tongka Ship on the Batanghari River, after a two-day search.

The victim, named Rofingun (40), a resident of Kasang Dalam, East Jambi District, was found about 4 kilometers from the location where the victim fell on the Batanghari River, to be precise at the PT Angkasa Raya pier, RT 23, Arab Melayu Village, Pelawangan District, Jambi City, Wednesday, 12 January.

"Furthermore, we will evacuate the victim's body and immediately take it to the funeral home," said Kornelis.
