Jokowi Is Now Satisfied With The Appearance Of The Mandalika Area That Is Greener And Has Lots Of Flowers

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo said he was satisfied with the changes that occurred in the Sunggu Roundabout area, Mandalika, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara.

"The President is satisfied with the results, because there have been changes from previous visits," said the Secretary of the NTB Provincial Government, H Lalu Gita Ariadi who accompanied President Jokowi's arrival while in Central Lombok Regency, Thursday, January 13.

Miq Gite as he is familiarly known, said that the President advised that the work process could be accelerated and apply the concept of structuring the area according to the initial planning, considering that the MotoGP event was getting closer.

"He advised to complete the arrangement of this area by March 2022 in accordance with the planned concept so that the reforestation in this area will be beautiful and not arid," he explained as quoted by Antara.

For information, the reforestation arrangement in the Sunggu Roundabout area itself will be focused on planting grass and trees in the median section of the road. In addition, beautification was also carried out on the hills along the BIL-Mandalika Bypass road.

The arrangement was carried out starting from the Sunggu Bypass BIL-Mandalika Roundabout to the Tri Putri Roundabout on the Sengkol-Kuta National Road. It aims to highlight the aesthetics along the way to the Mandalika Circuit.

On the way, Jokowi admitted that he saw the spatial layout of the Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport to the circuit being greened so that it was planted with flowers. This arrangement aims to spoil the eyes of MotoGP guests.

"Regarding the arrangement of the landscape from the airport to Mandalika, it has begun to be beautified with flowers on certain hills and re-greened. So, when guests come from the airport to Mandalika, they look prettier, more beautiful," said Jokowi. .

The former governor of DKI Jakarta also monitored the organization's readiness to face MotoGP, such as asking what difficulties they were facing, accommodation, transportation readiness, hotels, and planes.

"We checked everything one by one. God willing, everything is ready," said Jokowi.

After conducting a survey at the Sunggu Mandalika Roundabout Area, President Jokowi continued his journey to Gerupuk Beach to see the readiness of the homestay and the Mandalika Circuit ahead of the MotoGP event in March 2022.
