The Collectivity Of The Women's National Team Is Getting More Honed, A Positive Capital Towards The 2022 Asian Cup
JAKARTA – The collectivity of the Indonesian women's national team is considered to be getting better. This will be a positive capital ahead of their participation in the 2022 Asian Cup.
Since last month, Rudy Eka Priyambada's squad has been boosting preparations for the event which will take place in India from January 20 to February 6. Their game continues to be honed in order to get maximum results.
They also carried out a number of trials to improve the game. Recently, Zahra Muzdalifah and his colleagues were tested by the Persib Bandung women's team on Thursday, January 13, at the Madya Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta.
"Now there is an extraordinary improvement against women's opponents. They have good collectivity and are physically good," said Rudy when he was met by the media crew of trial age.
Zahra and friends will still play one more test match against Persib on Friday, January 14.
"We have one month of preparation. Since yesterday we tested against men. There has been an improvement from losing a lot and yesterday drawing. Tomorrow they will play (Persib) once again. We will see how strong they are physically, but basically we are ready to play in the Asian Cup , said Rudy.
In the first trial against Persib Bandung, the Indonesian women's national team squad had some homework to do.
Rudy said the homework was on the right side of the defense. This problem must be fixed because Australia will be the first test for Garuda Pertiwi.
Australia itself will come with a famous name like Sam Kerr. The player who is nominated for the Ballon d'Or will certainly trouble the right side of Indonesia's defense which still needs to be improved.
"There are some balls that can go forward on the right. That's something to watch out for because we know Sam Kerr is the best player in the world on that side," he said.
The Indonesian women's national team will undergo training in Jakarta until January 15 before leaving for India the next day. They have four days there to prepare against Australia in the first match of Group B, following Thailand and the Philippines.
