Six Land Sellers Of Government Assets With Fake Letters Arrested By Bogor Police
BOGOR - Six land mafias were arrested by the Bogor Police. In their action, the fraudsters sold 2,000 square meters of state-owned land assets in Cijayanti Village, Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, West Java, with fake land certificates.
"It turned out that after coordinating with the National Land Agency (BPN), the letter was fake," said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanudin, quoted Thursday, January 13.
The police chief explained that the suspects deliberately falsified land certificates which were assets of the Indonesian Ministry of Finance.
The six suspects with the initials AS, D, R, IS, MS, and A, they made fake land certificates similar to those issued by the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN). Then they unblocked it at the Bogor Regency BPN Office.
"We continue to develop into sources that publish or produce from these counterfeit materials," said Iman.
Losses in this case reached Rp. 15 billion, with details of Rp. 10 billion in losses for buyers and Rp. 5 billion in losses for the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia.
"Against the six suspects, we imposed Article 263 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of the Criminal Code with a penalty of 6 years in prison," concluded the Police Chief.
