Tjahjo Kumolo Issues SE Restrictions On ASN Vacationing Abroad
JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Tjahjo Kumolo issued Circular Letter (SE) Number 03 of 2022 concerning Restrictions on Traveling Abroad for ASN Employees during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In the SE which was signed by Tjahjo Kumolo, Thursday, ASN employees and their families were asked to limit their overseas travel activities in order to take a vacation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
ASN employees who are allowed to go abroad must be related to official travel with a letter of assignment that has been signed by a civil servant development official (PPK) or a high-ranking official in the agency environment.
"ASN employees can carry out official trips abroad (PDLN) with the provisions of the PPK to consider the implementation of PDLN selectively and prioritize essential activities that cannot be represented," said Tjahjo in the SE quoted by Antara, Thursday, January 13.
In addition, ASN employees who are forced to travel abroad but are not PDLN must obtain written permission from the PPK in the relevant agency.
"ASN employees who are forced to travel abroad other than PDLN must first obtain written permission from the PPK or an authorized official within the agency," Tjahjo explained.
ASN employees who travel abroad, both PDLN and non-PDLN, must implement health protocols, follow the instructions of the Ministry of Transportation regarding the implementation of international travel during the COVID-19 pandemic, and must comply with quarantine rules.
Tjahjo also ordered PPK in every government agency to give disciplinary punishment to ASN employees who violate the provisions in the SE.
"This Circular will come into effect from the date it is stipulated until further evaluation results are in accordance with the status of the development of the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia," said Tjahjo Kumolo.
