Revenge For Being Expelled, A Man In Situbondo Strangles His Wife To Death
SITUBONDO - A man in Ketah Village, Situbondo District, East Java, with the initials AAP (46) killed his wife. The perpetrator admitted that he had a grudge with the victim with the initials Hns (43) because he was often expelled.
The victim's wife who was a midwife was found dead at her workplace on Thursday, January 13 morning. The victim was found dead after a patient came to the victim's house which was also used as a midwifery practice.
Head of Public Relations of the Situbondo Police, Iptu Achmad Sutrisno, said the perpetrator surrendered himself to the Besuki Police after killing his wife.
"From the report, members of the Besuki Police, together with members of the Suboh Police, along with the Situbondo Police Inafis team, went directly to the scene. Apart from setting up police lines, officers were investigating the scene and asking for information from a number of people around the location," said Iptu Sutrisno.
The victim's death is thought to have been caused by her husband strangling her after an argument. "From the confession, the perpetrator admitted that he had strangled his wife to death because she could not stand being chased away by her wife," he said.
Currently, added Iptu Sutrisno, the perpetrators are being investigated at the Situbondo Police Headquarters. Meanwhile, the victim was taken to the Abdoerrahem Hospital for an autopsy.
"Currently, the perpetrator has been arrested and questioned by investigators from the Satreskrim Polres, Situbondo. To find out the cause of death of the victim, the victim's body is currently at the Situbondo hospital, for an autopsy," said Iptu Sutrisno.
