Bank Mandiri Enjoys Telkomsel's Progressive Business During The Pandemic: We Support The Supplier's Capital

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk is said to have reached an agreement with PT Telkomsel regarding increasing business capacity for the two agencies. The collaboration was marked by a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) to strengthen access to capital and facilitate Bank Mandiri transactions for Telkomsel's supplier partners.

Bank Mandiri Director of Corporate Banking Susana Indah K. Indriati said this initiative to prepare access to capital can help suppliers increase production capacity and is expected to accelerate the national economic recovery.

“This access to capital will use the Accepted Invoice Financing (AIF) scheme with a ceiling that is tailored to the needs of each supplier. The financing itself will be given to suppliers who have won contracts from Telkomsel," he said in an official statement, Thursday, January 13.

According to Indah, Telkomsel had a pretty good performance last year. When most of the business companies were under pressure, Telkomsel became a few of the business entities that were able to get out of the pressure and even recorded growth.

"We are very enthusiastic about the synergy between SOEs because it is very strategic to support the achievement of Indonesia's MSME recovery program, especially in the digital sector. Moreover, we see that Telkomsel is proven during this pandemic that it continues to perform well through business optimization and increasing digitization of Indonesia," he said.

Furthermore, Indah said that the company has a vision to become the main financial partner of choice for the business world through its commitment to developing a customer ecosystem business for the corporate banking segment.

"This collaboration is expected to increase the role of Bank Mandiri in increasing the utilization of banking transactions through the benefit of access to capital via supplier financing," he stressed.

Meanwhile, on the same occasion, Telkomsel's Director of Finance and Risk Management Mohamad Ramzy stated that this PKS is a synergy of two state-owned companies to strengthen each other's business ecosystem.

"We welcome the initiative to empower the ecosystem and the capital facilities provided by Bank Mandiri," he said.

Meanwhile, the Cooperation Agreement was signed by Bank Mandiri's Senior Vice President of SME Banking Alexander Dippo and Telkomsel's Director of Finance and Risk Management Mohamad Ramzy and witnessed by Bank Mandiri's Director of Corporate Banking Susana Indah K. Indriati.
