Procurement Of Security Guard Uniforms Is Not A Police Matter But A Company

JAKARTA - The National Police said they were not involved in procuring uniforms for security units (security guards). Procurement matters are left entirely to the security guard and the company where he works.

"That will be between the security guard and his place of work," said Karo Penmas of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan to reporters, Thursday, January 13.

In the process of changing uniforms, the Police are only involved in reviewing the rules because the Police are the supervisors for security guards.

"We don't interfere with the security guard's clothes. We just give the rules for the uniforms," said Ramadhan.

On the other hand, Ramadhan also emphasized that security guards are not included in the National Police organization. Although, the Bhayangkara Corps has a position as a builder.

"The security guard is not a structure under the police. There are security guards who use it, so we don't charge because it is the user," he said.

Meanwhile, the National Police plans to change the color of the security unit uniform (Satpam) which is currently brown to beige. However, this plan is still in the review stage.

In uniform changes it is only on clothes. So that later people will have no difficulty in distinguishing between police and security guards.
