Wins First Trophy With Inter Milan, Simone Inzaghi: I'm Very Satisfied!
JAKARTA - Inter Milan coach, Simone Inzaghi expressed his satisfaction regarding the results achieved by his team in the 2021 Italian Super Cup final. Seeing Inter's success in winning the winning trophy after beating Juventus, Inzaghi was beyond happy.
"We won the first trophy of the season. I am very very satisfied!" said Inzaghi quoted from Football Italia.
In the meeting of the two teams at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Thursday, January 13 in the morning WIB, Inter managed to close the match with a 2-1 win. Slick results in the final at the same time led them to the title of champion.
Although in the end they were able to secure the title, the Nerazzurri's efforts did not go so smoothly. Because, in fact, the Bianconeri were able to dominate at the beginning of the half and managed to take the lead through Weston McKennie in the 25th minute.

After conceded, Inter tried to appear more ferocious to catch up. The effort paid off because they were awarded a penalty in the 34th minute after Mattia De Sciglio committed a foul in the forbidden box. Lautaro Martinez, who became the executioner, was able to turn the situation into a 1-1 draw.
However, Inzaghi admitted that Juventus played well, forcing them to compete in extra rounds, which was up to 120 minutes.
Luckily, Alexis Sanchez was present as a differentiator after entering in the 75th minute. The attack line looks different when he is around. Evidently, Inter were able to win thanks to a late goal before the match almost continued to a penalty shootout, 120+1 minutes.
Regarding his team's meeting with Juventus, Inzaghi did not deny that his opponent was a strong team. Even according to him, the Bianconeri are not a team that is easy to beat.
"We met a strong team who played a game from Juve. They didn't create too much trouble, but they were good, we met a great opponent," said Inzaghi.
"They played the game, they were always in the game and even if they let us dribble it was never easy to beat them."
