IBL 2022 Series I Schedule In Jakarta: Pacific Caesar Surabaya Vs Prawira Bandung Becomes The Opening Match
JAKARTA – The schedule for the 2022 Basketball League (IBL) season has been officially released. Jakarta will be the host for the first series this season.
Quoting Antara, the first series will take place on January 15-22 at the Bung Karno Basketball Hall, Jakarta. In contrast to the previous season, IBL 2022 received an additional four teams.
Last season, the number of IBL participants was 12 clubs spread across nine cities. Meanwhile, this year the number of participants increased to 16 teams spread across 13 cities throughout Indonesia.
Increasing the number of teams automatically increases the number of matches played. In the first series a total of 32 matches will be played by the contestant team.
Meanwhile, in the regular round there were a total of 176 matches. That number has almost doubled from the previous season which only played 96 games.
As for the playoffs to the finals, this season there will be a maximum of 21 matches, while last season the number of matches in the playoffs to the finals was a maximum of 15 matches.
IBL 2022 participants will compete in two different divisions, each Red and White. The entire series of matches will be broadcast live streaming via IBL TV's official YouTube channel.
The highest caste of national basketball can also be attended by spectators, but in a limited capacity. IBL only has a permit to present 500 people in each match from a capacity of 2,400.
In practice, every day there will be four matches. Pacific Caesar Surabaya versus Prawira Bandung will open the first series at 12:30-14:30 WIB.
Then, continued with NSH Mountain Gold Timika against Bumi Borneo Pontianak. Then, there is West Bandits Combiphar Solo versus Rans PIK Basketball. Finally, there is Pelita Jaya Bakrie Jakarta against Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta.
The IBL 2022 will be held in six series in six cities. After the Jakarta series, it will continue to Bandung on 29 January-5 February, Yogyakarta on 10-16 February, Solo 3-9 March, Surabaya 13-19 March and Denpasar 24-30 March.
