BMKG Weather Forecast: Rain In Part Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts the general weather situation in Indonesia will experience rain with various intensities on Thursday.

Quoting Antara, Thursday, January 13, as reported by the www.bmkg.go.id page, the rain situation in some areas was caused by tropical cyclone Tiffany in northern Australia with a maximum wind speed of 40 knots moving westward. This system is predicted to experience a decrease in intensity in the next 24 hours.

As a result, the areas of Jambi and Palembang are foggy and southern Sumatra is expected to rain with light to moderate intensity. Meanwhile, northern Sumatra is forecasted to be cloudy.

Turning to Kalimantan, rain is generally predicted, especially in the Pontianak and Tanjung Selor areas. Samarinda is expected to experience rain accompanied by lightning.

The weather situation in Java is generally predicted to have light to moderate intensity rain in almost all regions. People in Yogyakarta need to be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning.

Weather conditions in Sulawesi also rained with light to moderate intensity. Palu area is expected to rain with lightning.

Furthermore, in the Bali and Nusa Tenggara regions, light intensity rains are predicted, especially in the Denpasar area.

In Eastern Indonesia, it is estimated that there will be light rain in the Ternate and Ambon areas, while in the Manokwari and Jayapura areas heavy rains are expected.
