Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution Asks BPJS Employment For Public Education

MEDAN - Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution asked the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) to massively educate the people in this area.

"We hope that the various BPJS Employment programs are able to touch all levels of society," said Bobby Nasution, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, January 12.

Especially, he continued, the four BPJS Employment programs, namely Work Accident Insurance (JKK), Death Security (JKM), Old Age Security (JHT) and Pension Security (JP).

Mayor Bobby Nasution said, apart from the various programs and benefits that can be obtained if you become a participant, the public can find out about all the programs that are presented.

In addition, Bobby also wants BPJS Employment to help government programs that provide benefits to workers, especially in the city of Medan.

"In the future, we ask BPJS Employment to be more proactive in conveying all the main tasks and functions, as a form of collaboration with local governments," said the Mayor of Medan.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Assistant for Employment BPJS for Participation in the Sumbagut Region, Budi Pramono, conveyed a number of programs that had been carried out by his party.

Data from BPJS Employment for the Sumbagut Region 2021 states, 769,403 people or 26.87 percent of the 2.86 million formal workers became participants, while 115,565 informal people or 3.35 percent of 3.44 million people became participants.

"We are ready to carry out the inputs and directions that have been conveyed by the Mayor of Medan," said Budi Pramono.
