Get Ready! The Gunung Kidul Health Office Holds Booster Vaccinations This Friday, Targeting The Elderly And Public Officials
GUNUNG KIDUL - The Health Office of Gunung Kidul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, has confirmed that the third or booster dose of COVID-19 vaccination will be carried out starting Friday, January 14, targeting the elderly, vulnerable people and public officials.
"Based on the latest coordination meeting with the DIY Health Office (Dinkes), the implementation of the third dose of COVID-19 vaccination is planned for Friday, which will be centered at the Gunung Kidul Health Office," said Gunung Kidul Health Office Head Dewi Irawaty in Gunung Kidul, Antara, Wednesday, January 12.
Dewi said that the reason for implementing the booster was not today because it was still in the data collection stage for receiving the third dose of injection. In addition, today's launch of the booster is only within the scope of the central government.
The implementation of the booster vaccination will target the elderly category to public officials. In addition, those who are allowed to receive injections are people in that category who have received the first injection of the Sinovac and AstraZeneca vaccines.
"The targets are the elderly, vulnerable people and public officials, but the elderly are prioritized first. Then those who may be boosted are the first vaccines of the Sinovac and AstraZeneca types," said Dewi.
Apart from this, Dewi admits that the enthusiasm of the prospective booster recipients in Gunung Kidul is high.
Therefore, his party will open registration at the Health Office and hold a third dose of vaccination every Friday. In addition, registration can be done at the Health Office. Next, plan to have a booster every Friday. For quotas, adjust the availability of vaccines.
"Because the quota for kick off is only 150 and many have registered directly through friends, registrants are prioritized for the elderly," he said.
