Duh, Kim Kardashian And Floyd Mayweather Sued For Token Fraud

JAKARTA - Celebrity Kim Kardashian and legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. facing lawsuits alleging the two misled investors in promoting cryptocurrencies.

The lawsuit was filed by someone on Friday, January 7 in Los Angeles Court. Kim and Floyd are said to be promoting tokens that are being sold EthereumMax or EMAX in order to raise prices and make a profit.

According to Reuters, Kim Kardashian promoted EthereumMax on Instagram in June 2021. Kim included the hashtag #ad to indicate that the post was a paid advertisement.

While Floyd Mayweather promoted EthereumMax in boxing shorts during a fight with YouTuber Logan Paul that same month.

“Company executives, in collaboration with several celebrity promoters, made false or misleading statements about EthereumMax through social media advertising and other promotional activities,” the lawsuit states on Wednesday, January 12.

Kim Kardashian and Floyd Mayweather have not yet responded to the lawsuit. On the other hand, EthereumMax as the defendant denied the rumors circulating.

“The misleading narrative related to the recent allegations is full of misinformation about the EthereumMax project. We deny the allegations and are waiting for the truth to emerge,” said EthereumMax.
