Manchester City Steal Start, Submit A Three-Year Contract To Messi

JAKARTA - Manchester City have made significant moves in responding to Lionel Messi's situation. The Premier League club has offered a three-year contract to the Barcelona superstar.

The report, which is placed in the headline of today's issue of MARCA, says City is the most appropriate berth for the Argentine superstar. This is due to his personal relationship with Pep Guardiola, as well as Messi's friendship with Sergio Aguero, who is both from Argentina.

Now 33 years old, Messi was once a star under Guardiola when the City coach coached Los Blaugrana between 2008 and 2012. The two men are friends both on and off the pitch.

MARCA reported, reported by Antara, Thursday, that City will be active in the transfer market if Messi is on a free transfer and Guardiola has initiated transfer talks.

Inter are also interested but Messi is not interested in this Italian team project, while Paris Saint-Germain is an attractive option but they have already spent a lot after bringing in Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria.

The possibility of moving to Manchester United and his boyhood club Newell's Old Boys has been pushed over by Messi.

The Spanish and Argentinian media reported that Messi wanted to leave Barcelona and wanted to activate a clause in his contract that allowed him to terminate the contract.

Messi won six Ballon d'Or while at the Camp Nou and became one of the greatest players of all time.
