Samarinda City Government Prepares 3 Projects To Support New National Capital
SAMARINDA - The Government of Samarinda City, East Kalimantan has prepared three development projects proposed through the Ministry of National Development Planning (KPPN) or the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) in order to support the New State Capital (IKN).
Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Samarinda City, Sugeng Chairuddin, said that the three projects include Public Street Lighting (PJU), Sky Train from Madya Sempaja Stadium to APT Pranoto Airport and the last is Bulk Port Development.
"This proposed project is later expected to be able to support the National Capital Development (IKN) process in 2024," said Sugeng Chairuddin in Samarinda, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 11.
Sugeng confirmed that most of the three projects are located in Samarinda and he submitted a virtual discussion of the Government Cooperation with Business Entity (PPP) document for the Samarinda City Government Project by the Ministry of National Development Planning or the Indonesian National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) on Tuesday morning.
"There are still many road points in Samarinda that have not yet received street lighting, especially with the total area of the city reaching 717.4 km squared," said the Regional Secretary.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Implementation Team for Public-Private Cooperation and Building Plans from the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas RI, Novie Indriani, gave her support for the proposed development in Samarinda City.
However, she asked, there are main points that must be completed by the City Government. Among them, such as improving the documents that have been submitted by doing data equality.
"Essentially we agree and will process further the proposal submitted by the Samarinda City Government, but I ask that the existing documents be corrected because there are data differences based on the number of street lighting points," she explained.
