Lawsuit Against Rais Aam PBNU Revoked
BANDARLAMPUNG - The civil lawsuit against Rais Aam, the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Miftachul Akhyar for advancing the schedule for the 34th NU Congress from December 23-25 to December 17, was officially withdrawn by the plaintiff.
"The plaintiff through his attorney from LPBHNU Lampung Province has withdrawn his lawsuit before the Tanjung Karang District Court, Lampung," said one of PBNU's Rais Aam lawyers, Taufik Hidayat, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 11.
He explained that at the trial at the Tanjung Karang District Court, the judge in his ruling determined, first to grant the request for the revocation of Case Number: 211/Pdt.G/2021/PN.TJK.
The second stated that the lawsuit had been completed and the third charged the plaintiff with court fees. With the revocation of the lawsuit against KH Miftachul Akhyar, the legal dispute between the plaintiff and the defendant has ended.
"However, the resolution of other problems related to ethics and organizational discipline is of course the authority of the PBNU leadership," he said.
Muhammad Hamzah, who is also Rais Aam PBNU's attorney added, as a legal representative, his party does not have the capacity to respond to organizational problems.
"The PBNU leadership has the authority to decide on violations of organizational ethics and discipline," he said
Previously, the decision of Rais Aam PBNU Kiai Haji Miftachul Akhyar to advance the schedule for the 34th NU Congress from December 23-25 to December 17 was brought to court by two NU cadres of Lampung Province.
The lawsuit was filed by Rais Syuriyah PWNU Lampung KH Muhsin Abdullah and Katib Syuriah PWNU Lampung Basyarudin Maisir through LBH NU Lampung Province to the Tanjungkarang District Court, Monday, December 6
