Flatly Rejects Serbian Club's Interest In Saddil Ramdani, Sabah FC Manager: No Free Players

JAKARTA - Malaysian football club, Sabah FC rejected the interest shown by one of the Serbian League club, FK Novi Pazar to its player, Saddil Ramdani.

Sabah FC's rejection of FK Novi Pazar was because they were known to want to bring Saddil without incurring any transfer fees or free of charge.

"If you are still under contract (Saddil Ramdani), the transfer process cannot be done free of charge because the professional football industry must have a transfer fee that is set and agreed upon by both clubs," said Sabah FC manager Marzuki Nasi quoted by Berita Harian.

Furthermore, Marzuki also emphasized that Sabah FC is still a permanent commitment to Saddil. Moreover, the player will also attend a training camp with the team starting Thursday, January 13 after completing self-quarantine in Kuala Lumpur.

Not only that, if you release Saddil then Sabah FC will not have much time to look for a suitable replacement. Moreover, a number of tournaments are starting in the near future.

"We could not accept the request (the Serbian club's offer) due to lack of time to find replacements for the Southeast Asian quota of foreign players," he said.

"Besides, buying players will not be easy because most of the leagues in ASEAN will start soon," explained the manager.

Despite this interest, Saddil himself is still under contract at Sabah FC until November 2002. Transfermarkt reports that Saddil's current market price is IDR 4.3 billion.

If you are really interested in the player, then FK Novi Pazar will have to spend more to redeem Saddil from Sabah FC. In addition to having to pay the market price, the Serbian club is also obliged to pay compensation to Sabah.

Previously, FK Novi Pazar through their coach, Dragan Radojicic, did express his direct interest in the 23-year-old winger. Even the coach also admitted that he had been monitoring Saddil's progress for the last six months.
