COVID-19 Update As Of January 11: 802 New Cases, Accumulated 4,267,451 Cases
JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 288,467 specimens were examined with the result that there were 802 new positive cases of COVID-19.
"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,267,451 people and active cases have increased by 348 to 6,659 cases," said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, January 11.
Today's recovered cases increased by 446 cases, bringing the total to 4,116,648 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 8 people and the total was 144,144 people.
The province with the most new cases is DKI Jakarta with 537 cases and a total of 868,199 cases. Followed by the Riau Islands with 66 new cases with a total of 54,712 cases. West Java with 62 new cases and a total of 709,142 cases. Then Banten with 43 new cases and a total of 133,040 cases.
The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 182 recovered cases. Followed by Riau Islands with an additional 173 recovered cases, West Java with an additional 18 recovered cases, and North Kalimantan with an additional 12 recovered cases.
In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 66,062,939.
"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.19 percent," he wrote.
The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases, was recorded at 5,045 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.
So far, 171,056,204 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 117,333,660 people have received the second dose of vaccination.
While the third dose of vaccination was 1,328,659. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
