Reckless Black Honda Brio In Palmerah, Police Call Driver Panic After Crashing Motorcycle Rider

JAKARTA - A series of accidents involving cars and motorbikes occurred on Jalan Kemanggisan Raya, near the Palmerah gas station, West Jakarta. As a result of the accident, the motorcycle riders with the initials MN and AD suffered a number of injuries. Both were taken to Permata Hijau Hospital.

West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Head AKP Hartono said the incident began when a Honda Brio car with police number B 2402 UKK driven by a driver with the initials DM drove from Jalan Kemanggisan Raya from east to west. When they arrived near the gas station, they hit a motorcycle with number B 4669 BBI driven by MN.

The car drove back to Jalan Panjang, near Permata Hijau Hospital and crashed into a motorcycle with the number B 4936 BTI driven by the driver with the initials AD.

"The car kept going and hit a motorcycle with license plate B 3170 SZP driven by ANG and a Datsun car numbered B1442 VMQ driven by RAH. Not only that, the car also hit a Mobilio numbered 2719 TFM driven by MR. The three vehicles were damaged," said AKP Hartono when confirmed, Tuesday 11 January.

As a result of the accident, a number of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles were damaged. The motive for the accident was an attempted hit-and-run so that it happened again and again.

"Yes (the motive for the hit-and-run). He (the driver) panicked then hit and ran, then stopped when he last hit. The term (accident) was a bullfight, stopped because of the damage, said Kanit.

Currently, the car driver is still undergoing examination at the West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Accident Unit.

"Yes, it's still being investigated, it's still being investigated, please take time," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the alleged cause of the accident, Kanit has not been able to conclude.

"When you get hit, you panic, then you go again. Not yet (the cause of the accident) is known. Yes, that's right (still being investigated," he said.
