'He Said Cebong Was Under The Armpit Of The Ruler, He Was Also Thrown In', Denny Siregar's Response To Ferdinand Who Became A Suspect And Was Detained
JAKARTA - Social media activist Denny Siregar has spoken about the detention of Ferdinand Hutahaean in connection with the detention of hate speech containing ethnicity, race and religion (SARA).
Through his Twitter media account, Denny said the desert lizard group or Kadrun often said Cebong or government support groups were protected by the palace.
However, at this time Ferdinand, known as the Cebong group, was detained by the police and named a suspect.
"That's also thrown in. So now what are you going to accuse? Napkins," explained Denny on Monday, January 10 night.
Ferdinand Hutahean was officially named a suspect and detained on suspicion of hate speech. However, his legal team will apply for a suspension of detention.
"The legal efforts that will be taken, first is a request for a suspension of detention," said Ferdinand Hutahaean's attorney, Zakir Rasyidin, to reporters on Tuesday, January 11.
The reason behind the application for the suspension was because Ferdinand had a history of illness. Where, the disease of the former Democrat politician is a turmoil of thoughts and feelings.
"Because of course our client has a history of illness, so maybe we need to do a request for a suspension," said Zakir.
However, when asked about the statement from the National Police which stated that Ferdinand was in good health and so it was decided to be detained, Zakir was reluctant to comment further.
He only emphasized that the application for a suspension of detention is the right of the suspect. So they will use this right.
"One of them is that we have seen complaints before, of course, that is also our reason," he said.
