JAKARTA - The former regent of Mojokerto Mustofa Kamal Pasa will soon be tried in relation to allegations of gratification and money laundering (TPPU). He will be tried in the Corruption Court at the Surabaya District Court (PN) after his file has been transferred.

The transfer of the files was carried out today or Tuesday, January 11 by the KPK Public Prosecutor (JPU) Arif Suhermanto.

"The KPK prosecutor has transferred the case file of the defendant Mustofa Kamal Pasha to the Corruption Court at the Surabaya District Court," Acting KPK Spokesperson for Enforcement Affairs Ali Fikri told reporters.

Even so, Ali said, Mostafa was not arrested. The reason is that he is still undergoing detention at the Surabaya Class I Prison after being found guilty in a bribery case.

"Next, we are waiting for the appointment of the panel of judges and the determination of the day of the trial with the agenda of reading the indictment," he said.

He is also suspected of placing, storing, and spending the proceeds of gratification receipts in the form of cash amounting to around Rp. 4.2 billion, 30 units of four-wheeled vehicles on behalf of other parties, two units of two-wheeled vehicles on behalf of other parties, and five units of jetskis.
