Menaker Ida: 88 Percent Of Beneficiary Accounts From The Target Of 15.7 Million Have Been Collected
JAKARTA - The Minister of Manpower (Menaker) Ida Fauziyah said that the government had collected 13.8 million accounts for salary subsidy recipients out of a total of 15.7 million. If in percentage, the number has reached 88 percent of the target.
Meanwhile, said Ida, at the same time, the data of potential recipients of salary or wage assistance that were validated according to the criteria of the Minister of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 14 of 2020, amounted to 10.8 million or 69 percent of the target.
Ida said that today the government began to distribute salary subsidies through beneficiary personal accounts, but not entirely. At this initial stage, the government has only distributed funds to 2.5 million recipients and will continue to do so until it is targeted to be completed by the end of September.
"On Monday, August 24, we received 2.5 million data on prospective recipients that have been validated and verified by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan as the first batch," he said, during the launch of the Salary Subsidy Program as reported on the YouTube page of the Presidential Secretariat, Thursday, August 27.
The process of distributing assistance to workers with salaries below Rp. 5 million, said Ida, was carried out through channeling banks that are incorporated in the State Bank Association (Himbara).
Of the total 2.5 million recipients of the first batch, over 700,000 are in Bank Mandiri accounts. Then as many as more than 900,000 were at BNI, while BRI and BTN reported about 600,000 accounts and 200,000 accounts, respectively.
The distribution of salary subsidy assistance is given to workers or employees in the amount of IDR 600,000 per month for four months, or a total of IDR 2.4 million, which will be given every two months. This means that in one disbursement, workers will receive a subsidy of Rp1.2 million.
Ida hopes that the salary subsidy recipients will use the money to spend on domestic products. In this way, the objective of this program, namely to accelerate national economic recovery, can be achieved optimally.
"This subsidy is expected to be able to maintain and increase the purchasing power of workers or laborers and boost consumption. This will cause a multipplier effect on economic growth and social welfare," he said.
Meanwhile, the criteria for salary subsidy recipients are regulated in Permenaker number 14 of 2020. It states that those who are entitled to receive are workers or laborers who receive subsidies must have the status of Indonesian citizens (WNI) as evidenced by a population identification number.
Workers must also be registered as active BPJS participants until June 2020. Potential recipients are also active participants in the social security program for employment who pay contributions with the amount of contributions calculated based on a salary or wage below IDR 5 million according to the latest salary or wages reported by the employer to the BPJS. Employment.
Finally, workers or laborers who receive wages and have an active bank account. Here it is not required to be Bank Himbara.
