Cleaning Service At North Sumatra Kualanamu Airport Finds 97 Grams Of Gold
MEDAN - Gold weighing 97 grams was found by a janitor at Kualanamu Airport, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The cleaning officer, Dewi Lestari, immediately reported it to the airport security.
Assistant Manager of Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), Kualanamu Novita Maria Sari said the incident occurred on Tuesday, January 4.
“So it was Tuesday, January 4th, gold was found, it was in the toilet. The location is in the boarding lounge, in the waiting room, by our sister, the cleaning service," said Novi, Thursday, January 10.
After finding the valuable item, Dewi handed it over to the airport officer.
"We appreciate the honest person, right, because he knows it's not his, it was handed over to the Avsec officer at the boarding lounge, so it's been handed over," he explained.
After that, the guard weighed it and it was found that the gold found weighed 97 grams. But until now no one has taken the gold.
"Now our position is waiting for confirmation and reports, from the prospective passenger, the jewelry, there is a ring if I'm not mistaken, (it contains) the form of women's jewelry," he said.
