This Year, Mitratel Has The Potential To Distribute Dividends Of Up To 70 Percent

JAKARTA - The management of PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) or Mitratel stated that the company has the potential to distribute dividends of up to 70 percent in 2022.

"Regarding the dividend payout ratio, the audit has not been completed yet for 2021. The dividend amount is of course in accordance with the prospectus plan, which is a maximum of 70 percent," said President Director of Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, in Jakarta, Monday, January 10.

Until the first semester of 2021, Mitratel posted revenue of Rp3.23 trillion with a net profit of Rp700.74 billion. In addition, from an operational perspective, the number of MTEL towers increased by 72.9 percent yoy to 28,079 until September 2021.

Likewise, collocations rose 49 percent yoy to 14,058. And the number of tenants rose 64.1 percent yoy to 42,137. However, the company's total tension ratio fell from 1.58 times to 1.50 times.

The man who is usually called Teddy said this was due to the increase in the number of Mitratel towers after the transaction with Telkomsel. Last year, the tenancy ratio fell due to aggressive acquisition of towers with only one operator, making the divisor factor bigger.

Furthermore, Teddy said, his party will encourage organic development outside Java. Thus the growth in the number of towers, tensions and collocations increases.

"There is a little pressure in tension. However, our fundamental operational ratios always grow above the industry, which will be reflected in the finances," he concluded.
