Another Artist Has Been Arrested, This Time The Singer Velline Chu Is Still Using Crystal Methamphetamine With Her Husband
JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Endra Zulpan said the dangdut singer with the initials VU who was arrested for drug abuse of methamphetamine type was Velline Chu (40).
Endra Zulpan when releasing the case at the South Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters, Monday, said the dancer whose real name is Kustiningsih was arrested with her husband Budi Hartono (34), on Saturday (8/1), at his residence in Jatisampurna District, Bekasi.
"The suspects are Budi Harianto alias BH and Kustiningsih alias Velline Chu, they are a husband and wife couple," said Endra Zulpan as quoted by Antara, Monday 10 January.
Zulpan explained that the arrest was initiated by a public report regarding the suspicion of the two suspects who allegedly used drugs at their home.
From the development of investigators in the field, it was found that Velline Chu ordered methamphetamine against someone who is still in the process of being chased.
After ordering the illicit goods, BH's husband took it and consumed it together at his house.
From the arrest, the police obtained a number of evidences, namely one plastic bag of methamphetamine clips weighing 0.08 grams and a glass pipette that was used cleanly for methamphetamine weighing 2.7 grams.
"They were both positive for using methamphetamine and it was also recognized from the examination carried out by investigators," he said.
The two suspects were charged with article 112 paragraph 1 subsidiary article 127 paragraph 1 letter a in conjunction with article 132 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of a minimum sentence of 4 and a maximum of 12 years.
