JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo inaugurated Borobudur Edupark on Jalan Magelang-Yogyakarta as a vehicle for people to learn and then understand and understand about the Borobudur Temple.

He said that Borobudur Edupark, owned by the artist Nyoman Alim Musthapa, actually presents a story behind his works. From one side, the art is how to sculpt, choose stones, shape and so on, people will be able to learn here.

"Tourists can sculpt, feel the practice, so there is a transfer of technology and here the artwork is not only made of stone so people will be able to compare it. People here will get a detailed explanation of how the construction structure of Borobudur Temple is, how the stones are related and so on," he said. .

Nyoman Alim Musthapa said that since the completion of the Borobudur Temple, no one has inspired anyone to build it and so on.

"Finally I tried to make this edupark. Incidentally this is continuous with PT Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan and Ratu Boko (TWC) as the manager of the Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, so we collaborate with PT TWC so that tourists who cannot go up to Borobudur Temple can enjoy it at the Borobudur Temple. here," he said.

He said that the education offered at Borobudur Edupark includes making your own works or being taught, either from stone, clay, cement, and so on.

"Our goal is for them to really understand how a person can be smart if he has never seen the carving methods. Here we can show how difficult it is, for example, to make the Borobudur Temple with more than 3,000 reliefs, how to sculpt it, and what tools to use. ," he said.

Borobudur Edupark, with an area of 2.5 hectares, contains, among others, statues of monuments made by Nyoman throughout Indonesia, including Statues of Sudirman, Soekarno, and Prince Diponegoro as well as a number of sculptures made in several countries, including miniatures of Angkor Wat.

Director of Marketing and Services of PT TWC Hetty Herawati said the existence of the Borobudur Temple provided a lot of inspiration in the development of tourism in the buffer zone in Magelang Regency.

He said that Borobudur Edupark was initiated by PT TWC in synergy with the management of PT Nakula Sadewa Design Art and the Borobudur lover community to connect destinations in the Borobudur Temple area and Magelang Regency.

According to him, Borobudur Edupark provides a new experience for tourists. The strong potential in the field of education and attractions as well as the strategic location on the main route to Borobudur Temple is the reason for the creation of this Borobudur Edupark.

He mentioned the purpose of Borobudur Edupark as a tourist information and education center before entering the Borobudur tourist area, increasing visitors' awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage, introducing the noble values contained in the reliefs of Borobudur Temple, and introducing works of art inspired by the Borobudur Temple.
