Gus Dur's Daughter Is Inflamed By The Action Of A Man Kicking Offerings In Lumajang: 'It's Hard To Understand That The World Doesn't Belong To The Group Alone'

JAKARTA - The action of a man kicking and throwing offerings placed by residents of Sumbersari Pronojiwo Village, Lumajang, East Java has gone viral on social media. This action was also highlighted by the daughter of Abdurrahman Wahid or Gus Dur, Alissa Wahid.

According to him, the belief that offerings should not go ahead. But forcing that belief on other people is not allowed.

"Believe that offerings are not allowed, go ahead. But forcing it to those who believe in it, that's not allowed. It's really troublesome if you meet these models,"

"It's really hard to understand that the world doesn't just belong to the group," said Alissa Wahid via Twitter account, @AlissaWahid quoted on Sunday, January 9.

A scathing comment was also expressed by social media activist Permadi Arya alias Abu Janda on his Instagram, @permadiaktivis. According to him, there are still many Hindus or Kejawen sects who inhabit the area around the Semeru eruption. According to Abu Janda, this kind of act is what causes Islamophobia to be born.

"Radical Muslims who are intolerant of the ISIS flow like them are the main cause of the birth of Islamophobia. Don't blame it if there is a fear of Islam if a ba***** group wearing a dress like them continues to be allowed," he stressed.

In the 25-second video, a man wearing a black vest can be seen kicking an offering belonging to a local resident while saying 'Allahu Akbar'. There are several points that show this man throwing away the offerings placed by residents.
