Pemprov DKI: Cafes Can Live Music, As Long As They Are Not Famous Artists
JAKARTA - The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Office has allowed restaurants, restaurants and cafes to perform live music during the PSBB transition period. However, this musical performance may not bring in famous artists.
This is stated in the DKI Disparekraf Circular Number 342 / SE / 2020 concerning the Implementation of Live Music Activities in the Type of Restaurant / Restaurant / Cafe Business. This SE was signed by Plt Head of DKI Disparekraf Gumilar Ekalaya dated August 25, 2020.
"Entrepreneurs in restaurants, restaurants or cafes are prohibited from holding live music events by bringing in well-known artists, both domestic and foreign," said Gumilar, confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, August 26.
Gumilar said, the appearance of famous artists in musical activities has the potential to increase the crowd of visitors. It is feared that this will increase the spread of COVID-19.
"Often cafes and restaurants hold special events or shows with the appearance of famous artists wearing tickets, which are intended to attract visitors, it will invite a crowd. So, we have not allowed that," said Gumilar.
Gumilar asked well-known artists to understand the live music performance policy during the PSBB transition period. This is because there are special considerations that form the basis of the rules, namely reducing the number of COVID-19 cases while improving the economic condition of cafe musicians.
In addition, live music bands that are allowed can only perform acoustic music with a maximum number of personnel of four, including vocalists. These musicians also have to keep the volume of music they play within reasonable limits.
"Acoustic is a band that is not noisy, whose rhythm is the right genre for delivering people while eating," he said.
Musicians are also not allowed to interact directly with visitors. "It is also mandatory for musicians to apply health protocols by using masks and keeping their distance during the show,"
Furthermore, restaurant visitors who come are also not allowed to take the floor or dance during the live music.
"Violation of health protocols is subject to sanctions in accordance with Governor Regulation Number 79 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of Dept. and Law Enforcement of Health Protocols as Efforts to Prevent and Control COVID-19," he concluded.
