Willing To Be 'dirty' To Clean And Plant Trees In Ciliwung Watershed, Minister Yasonna: PDIP Has Red Clothes But Cares About Green

JAKARTA - PDI-P DPP chairman Yasonna H. Laoly carried out a clean-up and tree planting in the Ciliwung watershed (DAS), South Jakarta, Sunday, January 9. The action was carried out in a series of commemorations of the 49th anniversary of the PDI-P.

"This program is a sustainable program, the PDI-P's commitment to not only think about politics, but also think about the environment," said Yasonna, at the location of the activity, Rawajati Village, Pancoran District.

The Minister of Law and Human Rights revealed that the movement for environmental care was in accordance with the instructions of the Chairperson of the PDI-P Megawati Soekarnoputri. Taking care of nature must be one of the focuses of all PDI-P cadres, especially in the midst of the threat of climate change.

"We have been doing a series of activities taking care of the environment, planting trees, for several years throughout the country," said Yasonna.

The clean-up of the Ciliwung watershed was carried out by thousands of PDI-P cadres at 15 points in DKI Jakarta. Meanwhile, Yasonna carried out cleaning and planting trees in the Ciliwung watershed in Rawa Jati Village with the PDI-P DPP Chairperson Komarudin Watubun, and 242 PDI-P cadres from the branch level, PAC, DPD, to cadres of district/city DPRD members.

"We plant and our friends must work hand in hand with the community to monitor it. Planting trees is very beneficial for all of us," he said.

"We show that, although the PDI-P is a red party, the shirt is red, the hat is red here, but we are also concerned with green, namely the environment," Yasonna continued.

In the same location, Komarudin Watubun said that the cleaning and planting of trees in the Ciliwung watershed is a real manifestation of caring for the environment and loving the country.

“The core of the country are three things, earth, water, and people. Therefore, the PDI-P is committed to protecting the country by taking care of the earth. Republic Earth. By taking care of the land, we take care of the water, so we take good care of this country," concluded Komarudin.
