Battalion 412 TNI Task Force Builds 6 Church Bell Towers In Papua

JAKARTA - Soldiers from the TNI Battalion Battalion MR 412 Kostrad present a monumental work of six church bell towers for church congregations in the assignment area of Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua.

Commander of the Task Force (Dansatgas) Infantry Battalion MR 412 Kostrad Lieutenant Colonel Inf Moch. Renaldy H, Sunday said the handover of the work of the Battalion Battalion MR 412 in the form of six church bell towers through a series of worship and stone-burning traditions as a form of gratitude.

"The process of handing over the keys to the church bell tower was carried out simultaneously at six location points in Lanny Jaya Regency," said Lt. Col. Renaldy as quoted by Antara.

Dansatgas Yonif MR 412 Kostrad hopes that the church bell tower provided will bring benefits and peace to the church congregation in Lanny Jaya Regency.

"Hopefully the sound of these bells can be a facility to call the congregation to worship, so that peace in Papua is maintained, because this is our goal for the TNI to be here, we come for peace and we come because we love and care for the people of Lanny Jaya," said Dansatgas.

He said the construction of the church bell tower began when he saw the lack of church facilities, especially church bells, which only used scrap metal or used oxygen cylinders and the lack of other means to control time, resulting in church congregations often being late for worship.

This is what made the Soldiers of Task Force 412 moved to build the church bell tower.

Six church bell towers were also built by soldiers of the Battalion Battalion MR 412 Kostrad including the Pinime Church in Malagay Village, Tipugwi Church and Lowanom Church in Malagayneri Village, Mowi Church in Balingga, Manggalom Church in Tima Village and finally the Wiyaware Church in Pirime Village.

Meanwhile, the pastors and community leaders of each church congregation expressed their gratitude and gratitude because the TNI 412 Task Force had provided something useful for the congregation.

"We never even thought about building a bell tower like this, but thank God Battalion 412 Kostrad came and gave it to us," said Pastor Del Tabuni of the Mowi Church, Balingga District.
