6 Hours Of Examination, Djoko Tjandra Is Arrested To Give Money To Prosecutor Pinangki

JAKARTA - Attorney General's office investigators have examined Djoko Tjandra regarding the alleged gratification case of Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari. Six hours he was questioned by Attorney General's investigators.

Djoko Tjandra declined to comment on today's examination. He chose to shut his mouth tightly and chose to get into the car to take him to the Salemba Detention Center.

Director of Investigation at the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes at the AGO, Febrie Adriansyah, said that Djoko Tjandra was questioned about a number of meetings and the flow of funds to Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari.

"The examination is related to the flow of funds, since when was the meeting, what was discussed," Febrie told reporters, Wednesday, August 26.

However, Febrie did not specify what Djoko Tjandra had to say to investigators. Because, it has been included in the investigation material.

It's just that, he said, this examination is an advanced agenda. Because, the previous examination had been delayed and it was decided to be temporarily suspended. "Further examination," he said.

In this case, it is suspected that Pinangki received a bribe of 500 thousand US dollars or the equivalent of Rp. 7 billion from Djoko Tjandra. The money was allegedly given to assist the handling of the cessie case of Bank Bali, Djoko Tjandra.

For his actions, Pinangki was charged with Article 5 letter b of the Corruption Crime Law. In its journey, the AGO will add the alleged article to Pinangki. However, it has not been done so far.
