Bareskrim Examines Prosecutor Pinangki About The Alleged Flow Of Funds To Djoko Tjandra Tomorrow

JAKARTA - Bareskrim Pori has scheduled the investigation of Attorney Pinangki Sirna Malasari tomorrow. Attorney Pinangki was examined as a witness in the development of the case for the elimination of Djoko Tjandra's red notice, including the flow of funds to a number of people.

"Tomorrow Thursday, the investigation of Attorney Pinangki will be held at the Attorney General's Office at 10.00 WIB," said Head of Public Relations of the Police, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, Wednesday, August 26.

Although they did not explain in detail the matter of the investigation, the Bareskrim team of the Corruption Crime Directorate will investigate the prosecutor Pinangki's statement regarding the suspicion that another party received money from Djoko Tjandra.

Previously, the National Police Public Relations Division Karo Penmas, Brig. Gen. Awi Setiyono, said that the investigation of the Pinangki Prosecutor was after receiving a reply from the Attorney General's Office.

The letter contained the question of permission to examine Pinangki who was in the detention of the Salemba Prison branch of the AGO. In addition, the torture is still in the nature of clarification regarding the results of the investigations of the other suspects.

"The request for permission to examine the PSM Prosecutor is asking for information as clarification regarding the information received by investigators," said Awi.

The Bareskrim Polri is currently handling a case of alleged bribery related to the removal of red notice Djoko Tjandra. In this case, the police have named four people as suspects.

They are Inspector General Napoleon Bonaparte and Brigadier General Prasetyo Utomo. Both are suspected as recipients of bribes for red notice removal.

Both of them were charged with Article 5 Paragraph 2, Article 11 and Article 12 letters a and b of Law Number 20 of 2020 concerning Corruption (Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.

While the other two people are bribes. They are Djoko Tjandra and Tommy Sumardi. Both of them were charged under Article 5 Paragraph 1, Article 13 of Law 20/2020 concerning Corruption Crime (Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.

In the bribery case, investigators confiscated US $ 20 thousand, cellphones, including CCTV as evidence.
