Ganjar Makes Hospital Campaign Using Local Health Products

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked all hospitals in Central Java to prioritize the use of local medical device products. According to him, many medical devices made by the nation's children are of good quality and not inferior to imported products.

"I ask all hospitals to love domestic products. If there is a good local medical device product that has received permission from the health authority, then use it first," said Ganjar while attending the anniversary commemoration of the Moewardi Hospital Solo, Saturday 8 January.

Ganjar said, in addition to showing pride in being made in Indonesia, the use of local medical devices is also important to stimulate the domestic industry.

"With many hospitals and health services using local health products, local industries will emerge and develop more," he explained.

In addition to being proud of the work of the nation's children, on that occasion Ganjar also expressed his gratitude to all health workers, including doctors, nurses, and all workers who are struggling to help the government in handling COVID-19. Over the past two years, all have been doing their best to help the community through these difficult times.

"On behalf of myself, my family and the governor, I express my deep condolences to the health workers who have died while on duty. I thank you for your hard work during the pandemic," he said.

Ganjar said he was following day by day regarding the handling of the pandemic. He also traveled to all areas in Central Java and all hospitals to check readiness and ensure optimal treatment.

"Including Moewardi, who at that time had a very high load. Because this hospital used to be one of the referrals. Today, thank God, COVID-19 cases have started to sag even to the floor, but we must remain vigilant in anticipating an increase in cases due to the new variant of Omicron," he concluded.

Meanwhile, Director of Moewardi Hospital, Cahyono said, at the age of 72, Moewardi Hospital continues to improve and continue to improve services to the community. A number of innovations and creations continue to appear to make it easier for the public to access health.

"We are determined, Moewardi Hospital to be a mainstay hospital and loved by the community," he said.
