East Java Deputy Governor Emil Dardak Asks People To Wait Patiently For Strengthening Vaccine Regulations
SURABAYA - Deputy Governor of East Java Emil Elestianto Dardak asked the public to be patient in waiting for the government's regulations regarding the booster vaccine policy as an effort to control COVID-19.
"So we really ask, not just appeal, even ask the public for this booster vaccine," he said after receiving a visit from the Military Commander V/Brawijaya Major General Nurchahyanto at the Grahadi State building in Surabaya, quoted by Antara, Friday, January 7.
According to him, the three-dose vaccine is through the government or independently, still waiting for a policy from the center.
Eemil Dardak explained that according to the Ministry of Health, there are indeed a number of people who have received booster vaccine facilitation from the government, such as health workers because they are at the forefront of dealing with COVID-19.
The Minister of Health, he said, had also conveyed that there would indeed be someone who received it as a form of government facilitation, including an independent route.
In addition, it is also hoped that the independent pathway booster vaccine will not be interpreted by the public as free without rules, but there are several things that need attention.
"This independence should also not be assumed to be independent and then look for it yourself," said the former Trenggalek Regent.
Deputy Governor Emil Dardak also explained the reasons related to the public who had to wait for government regulations regarding the third dose of vaccine, among others, it was feared that the vaccine did not meet the requirements, or that it met the requirements, but the storage method was not standard.
"So it is feared to cause problems in the future. And of course it will be very risky," said the husband of Arumi Bachsin.
For the sake of mutual security and safety, he continued, he appealed to the entire community not to look for loopholes to get booster vaccines before there was a regulation from the government.
"We urge the public to always access everything related to vaccines from official channels, namely from the government," said Emil Dardak.
