Beginning Of 2022, The Price Of FFB In Subulussalam Aceh Increases
ACEH - The Association of Oil Palm Farmers (Apkasindo) of Struggle Subulussalam City, Aceh Province, noted that the purchase price of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) for oil palm in the area moved up in early 2022.
Head of Apkasindo Perjuangan Subulussalam City, Subangun Berutu, in Subulussalam, Friday, January 7, said that the price of palm FFB had dropped in mid-December 2021 by around Rp. 150 to Rp. 200 per kilogram.
"Now the price of palm FFB in Subulussalam City is starting to move up. The increase ranges from Rp. 20 to Rp. 50 per kilogram. Currently, the price of FFB at the palm oil mill level is in the range of Rp. 2,780 per kilogram," said Subangun Berutu, quoted by Antara.
Subangun Berutu said that his party continues to monitor the price of the regional superior commodity nicknamed Sada Kata. The increase in FFB prices was triggered by the higher price of crude palm oil (CPO) or bulk palm oil which is now touching the figure of Rp. 14,000 per kilogram.
"We hope that farmers will continue to take care of their plantations so that production this year is maximized because the price of palm FFB is expected to continue to improve," said Subangun Berutu. and exports remained stable.
In addition to the increase in FFB prices, Subangun Berutu hopes that the government will overcome the scarcity of subsidized fertilizers. Currently, non-subsidized fertilizers are available in the market, but their prices have soared beyond 100 percent.
The increase in fertilizer prices, said Subangun Berutu, has long been a complaint among oil palm farmers. This is because farmers need fertilizer to increase oil palm productivity.
"Farmers hope that the government must distribute the subsidized fertilizer quota according to the definitive plan for group needs and that no one will misuse it," said Subangun Berutu.
