JABAR - Cases of alleged sexual abuse of female students by teachers at Islamic boarding schools have occurred again. This report is being handled by West Java Police investigators.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, said that according to reports received by investigators, there were three victims. The report has been received by the Bandung Police.

"This is indeed a case that has been happening for a long time, but it has just been reported, so the incident occurred between 2019 and 2021," said Ibrahim at the West Java Regional Police, Bandung City, Antara, Friday, January 7.

The unscrupulous act allegedly occurred at a boarding school in the Ciparay area, Bandung Regency.

Ibrahim said that the reported person in the case is suspected to be a teacher at the pesantren. The police are still investigating the alleged case.

According to him, a number of witnesses have undergone examination, starting from the reporting witness and the witness suspected of being the victim. "This case has been handled by investigators. This witness has a victim witness and a reporter, a total of eight," he said.

Initially, he said, the case was investigated based on a report on December 1, 2022. From these reports, other reports emerged that it was suspected that three female students were victims.

"But so far there have been no reports related to the case," said Ibrahim.
