Compared To 2020, Fire Cases In Depok Only Decreased By 2 Cases And The Most Occurred In August
JAKARTA - The Depok City Fire and Rescue Service noted that fire cases decreased during 2021. If in 2020 there were 123 cases, this year only 121 cases.
Head of the Depok City Fire and Rescue Service, Gandara Budiana, detailed that in January there were 10 cases, February four cases, March nine cases, April 12 cases, May and June nine cases. Then in July 10 cases, August 15 cases, September 12 cases, October 11 cases, November seven cases and December 13 cases.
"The majority of fire cases in 2021 were caused by an electric short circuit with 62 cases. Meanwhile, the other causes were 17 cases of stove exploding and 42 cases," Gandara said as quoted from the Depok City Government's official website, Friday, January 7.
Gandara said that the average fire case occurred in residential areas. With a total loss of almost IDR 1.2 billion
In addition to extinguishing the fire, continued Gandara, his party also handles non-fire cases. Such as evacuation of wasp nests, snakes and monkeys that enter residential areas, including fallen trees, floods and landslides.
"During 2021, there have been 567 non-fire cases that we have handled. The most evacuations reached 495 actions," he concluded.
