Police To Hold Cases Of Convicts In South Sulawesi Who Died Unnaturally
MAKASSAR - The South Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda) will soon hold a case against drug convict Andi Lolo, who died with an unnatural suspicion after being picked up by the police at the Bolangi Prison, Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency.
"The case will continue to be held later. We will convey information after the results of the case title are obtained," said Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Police Kombes Komang Suartana when confirmed in Makassar, reported by Antara, Friday, January 7.
He explained that the case was carried out to confirm the actual incident, considering that the results of the autopsy of the victim's body from the Medical and Health Division of the Bayangkara Hospital had already been released.
In addition, he said, the purpose of the case was to deepen and find the truth about whether there was narcotic dependence or not while serving time in detention.
He stressed that the case remains the attention of the police to investigate the actual incident and the case will be carried out internally.
Regarding the autopsy results of the victim, he said, there were no signs of violence. The results were based on a team of police health doctors who stated that swelling was found in the organs of the deceased.
"When viewed from the autopsy results, there was an swelling of the heart. Second, there was a problem with the use of amphetamine and methamphetamine which are suspected to be methamphetamine," he said. Previously, a drug convict, named Andi Lolo from Pinrang Regency, was declared dead after being picked up by officers from Bolangi Prison, Sungguminasa, Gowa on Thursday, December 16, 2021 night.
